It takes a lot to hold onto a dream; especially when the
dream is out of the question of becoming something real. When you really hold
onto something for all of your life, it’s just hard to face the cold hard truth
of reality.
That's when denial kicks in. When you say to yourself, “I will
show them that one day it’ll happen.” And in the back of your head you hear
that murmur saying, “It’s time to wake up."
The call to reality is the cruel. I know we all wish to live
in a land where all our dreams come true. But face it; some have it better than
others. Its cliché to say enjoy life as it is because it can be worse; but hey,
it really can be worse.
You realize reality isn't so bad when a homeless person
tells you to live it up and give life a little somethin'. A person with absolutely
nothing & no reassurance of what he will eat tomorrow (that is if he even
gets to eat) or where he will sleep, telling you (someone with a home and money
to buy food) that life is good as it is, then something's messed up there right
?
Wrong. A reality can be a dream too. If you learn to love
what you already have & if you decide that tomorrow is tomorrow and will be
dealt with tomorrow, you will love everything you have that second. Whether it’s
just you sittin' on a toilet taking a dump and reading a murder mystery, you'll
love every freakin' moment of it.
